Rural Inclusion partners with local NGO’s in El Salvador to conduct rural research
Rural Inclusion CIC has partnered with ADEL Morazán and PADECOMSM to carry out a research project on financial education in the eastern region of El Salvador, as part of Rural Inclusion’s “Ostrii” pilot project in Central America.
On Friday, 22 April 2022, our co-founder and CEO, Jack Farren, together with the pilot research leader, Franklin Montano, were present in San Francisco Gotera, Morazán, for a meeting with representatives of ADEL Morazán and PADECOMSM to formalise the partnership.
The research will include the development of a survey covering both groups and individuals, covering topics such as access to finance, levels of financial literacy, attitudes to risk and digital adoption.
ADEL Morazán is a non-governmental organisation created in 1993 which implements inclusive business development processes to contribute to the sustainable competitiveness of MSMEs.
PADECOMSM is a local NGO that promotes capacity building for inclusive social, economic and environmental development, with an emphasis on children, youth and women.
The main focus of the survey will be on small farmers and micro and small enterprises (MSMEs) in the department of Morazán, El Salvador, which is due to begin in the middle of May 2022.
