Rural Inclusion began its operations in 2021 in Uganda with a large-scale research project and a pilot project of the Ostrii platform, reaching to 1,700 individuals.

The majority of Rural Inclusion’s project team in Africa are based in Kampala, Uganda.

In 2022, we launched an innovative project called the Inclusion Ambassadors, who are volunteers from the financial, development and technology sectors, supporting Rural Inclusion to drive economic development for underserved rural communities through partners in target countries in Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia and Rwanda
