In our pilot project, we conducted a large-scale survey in Lwengo District to understand the challenges that rural communities are facing in accessing finance and to identify how we can design an education programme to overcome these obstacles.
At Rural Inclusion, we believe in a bottom-up approach and using a human-centred approach in the design of our solutions.
We worked alongside Joy for Humanity, Lwengo District Business Council and Lwengo NGO Forum to identify saving groups in the area that we can connect with.
During our survey, we worked with groups in the five sub-counties of Lwengo, along with Kkingo Sub-County, on the following topics:
During our survey, we worked alongside 255 saving groups, and a total of 8,395 respondents.
